Yavuz Bozer is the Ford Motor Company Co-Director of the Tauber Institute for the College of Engineering. Professor Bozer teaches in the Industrial and Operations Engineering department of the College of Engineering. He is also the Co-Director of the Lean Manufacturing Certificate Program offered through the Center for Professional Development (CPD) at the University. His primary research focus is the development of analytical models for facility layout and material movement/storage in discrete-flow production and distribution systems, and the application of these models in lean manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain systems. His current research focuses on the efficient design and operation of pull-based material handling systems, container terminals, web-enabled order picking systems/lean warehousing, and mathematical programming-based models for facility layout.
