Come to Cleveland’s I-X Center to attend the NA 2008 Show and Conference on Monday, April 21, 2008 during our "Material Handling Logistics Classroom Day" at the show. The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA), through its College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) has partnered with the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) to offer a special program that day for students and faculty, starting at 10:00 am. Faculty and students in engineering, business, and technology schools at the two or four year level will find solutions focused on how to plan for the flow of goods throughout facilities and the supply chain.
9:45 – 10:00 Register and Pick Up Materials
Pre-register in advance (www.NAShow.com) or at the show, then come to Rooms 17 &18 to pick up a packet of materials about the industry and the show. You will receive an "Academic VIP" ribbon along with a variety of materials to help you better understand the show, the industry and the educational materials available from MHIA. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water will be served along with an assortment of pastries and other snacks to hold you until lunchtime.
10:00 - 11:00: Welcome and Introduction to NA 2008 and the Material Handling Industry
Attend a presentation providing an overview of how material handling and logistics solutions make goods flow, how solutions are developed, current and future trends, people and jobs in the industry, plus how to make the most out of your visit to the NA 2008 Show. Information will also be presented about the materials available from the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE), MHIA and MHEDA.
11:00 – 5:00 Lunch and the Show Floor
Enjoy lunch on the show floor courtesy of the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education. Each attendee will be given a food voucher good for $15.00 worth of food at any one food vendor. Then visit the show floor and see the latest material handling and logistics technologies. Speak with the vendors of the solutions to get a better understanding of how to apply the technologies and techniques to solve real-world problems. The product literature, white papers, case studies, DVDs and other content can be a valuable educational resource.
3:00 – 5:00 Afternoon Hospitality Break
Return anytime during this period in the late afternoon toquench your thirst, pick up a snack, or just take a break. Representatives from the industry will be available to talk with you more about the show or the industry.
